National Truck Driver’s School has the distinct pleasure of introducing you to the August Graduate of the Month.  Please meet Mr. Jayme T Cole.  Jayme hails from Kissimmee, Florida, is 28 years old and has two children named Emily and Alex.  Jayme graduated from National Truck Driver’s School last August.

Prior to his life changing decision to join the many graduates of National, Jayme worked for the Disney Corporation in Orlando, Florida.  The call of the road was a powerful one for Jayme.  He left Disney and the “Mouse” for the freedom of the highway.  Prior to Disney, he held jobs that were even less satisfying, such as a cook and a food and beverage manager.  All good careers in their own right, but they don’t compare to trucking.

Jayme now works for Stevens Transport. Stevens Transport has evolved into one of North America’s most highly reputable and widely recognized irregular route refrigerated truckload carrier, asset based logistics provider, servicing the contiguous 48 states, Mexico and Canada.

Stevens currently operates North America’s largest line of the newly released 1999 Kenworth T-2000 Conventional Tractors, complemented by a fleet of 1450 53′ x 102′ Thermo King equipped Utility trailers, all meticulously maintained with timely rigorous inspections. The entire tractor fleet is equipped with the latest Qualcomm satellite-based tracking and communications system, taking full advantage of advanced technology.

Wow! No wonder Jayme wanted to work with them.  Jayme also loves the traveling that being an over-the-road driver provides.  The money is good too.  When we asked Jayme why he picked National for his training he said simply, “The time behind the wheel.”  Jayme received 160 hours of training at Resident Training. 130 of those hours were behind the wheel.

Jayme’s only problem with this course was the three weeks he spent away from his family while at Resident Training.  We asked him if he would recommend National to others and he emphatically said “Yes.”  The three weeks away from home were well worth the sacrifice.  Jayme now enjoys the view from his state of the art 1999 Kenworth as he travels this great land of ours and gets paid well for doing it.

National Truck Driver’s School is proud to recognize Jayme T. Cole as our Graduate of the Month for August 2000.  We wish him all the fortune the open road will bring
