Meet Blaine Elmore from Middleburg, Florida.
National Truck Driver School Graduate of the Month for
September 2010.

Blaine is married and has 4 children; two boys and two girls ranging in age from 9 to 17 years old. Before Blaine became a professional truck driver he worked as a chassis mechanic for Con Global and a welder for a construction company.

Blaine decided to become to earn his Class “A” Commercial Drivers License (CDL) because he knew truck driving is a job that provides steady work, good pay and lots of benefits. Blaine did his research before he made his decision. Many people don’t realize all of the opportunities available for them within the industry… other than truck driving.

The trucking industry is one of the largest service industries, if not the largest service industry, in this country and many others. There are many other job positions within the industry people just don’t think about and many of our graduates move on and up with in their companies and within the industry itself to very successful and lucrative careers that started from behind the wheel.

We have a feeling Blaine will take advantage of these opportunities.

During the interview with Blaine, as with all selected Graduates of the Month, we ask what their experience was like during their time with us. Here’s Blaine’s response: “National Training was a great experience for me. I had never gotten behind the wheel of a tractor trailer. Now I can drive them and parallel park them. That says a lot about the training to me. It’s a big accomplishment in only three weeks.”

Blaine is right… it is a big accomplishment in only three weeks. It takes skill, patience and a willingness to learn in order to become a professional tractor trailer driver. Our instructors are professionals and have many, many years of real-world experience and have trained literally thousands of students to safely and confidently, operate these big rigs.

In fact, they did such a good job with Blaine he said his favorite part of the training was the road trips each class takes during their time with us.

During Blaine’s time with us he received several job leads as a result of his time with us and his hard determination. We know Blaine with do very well.

Blaine’s future plans are to go to work driving over the road with a good company to gain experience and then eventually become an owner/operator and become his own boss.

Instructor Comments:
“During my time with Blaine it was just a pleasure. Each instructor always has a student that stands out and for me Blaine was that student. He worked hard, paid attention and was willing and open to constant improvement on every road drive we did. I know Blaine will do very well in this industry and I hope he stops by to see us soon.”
