William Vergantino had a successful and profitable career as a truck driver. He was not, however, completely satisfied with the profession. It seems that the time away from home over the road trucking demanded, was more than he was willing to give. William wanted to be home more with his family. William caught an ad on the TV for National Training’s Heavy Equipment School, and he thought it sounded interesting and a way out of trucking.

Prior to his trucking career, he had tried pipefitting and various other jobs including laborer. William knew that going back to those jobs were not an option. He gave National a call and the career change process had begun.

William studied his lessons and graduated from the Resident Training in May of ’02. He trained on all the popular heavy equipment pieces and discovered he liked the loader best. William is now moving the earth for Wilson Excavating. He operates the Caterpillar 950 Loader. His future plans include Qualifying and participating in the Crane Apprenticeship program.

We wish him all successes and we know he will do well.
